Hi all -
I just purchased an Epson V500 scanner to scan some film from a vacation a couple years ago. I love it! It is easy to use, and I am getting really nice, clear digital images. The one concern I have now is that the colors will print the way I have been editing them in PS CS2.
The scanner automatically embeds the images with ICC Profile Epson sRGB. I think the sRGB part is fine, but I am wondering if there is a difference between the Epson sRGB and Adobe sRGB (does that even exist?) When I right click on the properties of the pictures, it just says Color Representation: sRGB, so I am hoping that I am good to go. Even after I adjust my photo in PS, when I save it, it says ICC Profile: Epson sRGB. I guess I just want to make sure that the Epson part won't cause any problems with whatever type of printer that mypublisher has.
If anyone has any thoughts on this, please let me know - I could be worrying about something that is a complete non-issue. But if I do need to make modifications to my scanner color configurations (or somehow revise the color of my images), I would like to know before I get too far in!
Thanks!
