Costco discount not applying?

I am trying to order a book I made and downloaded the bookmaker software directly from the costco webpage. However when I go to purchase, the costco discount isn't showing. It is however showing the current mypublisher offer of 20%-40% off. I tried re-downloading from the Costco site and reinstalling and that didn't fix it either. I have an email in to customer service, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and what the solution is. I had read here that the discount was supposed to be automatic. Thanks!

Your CostCo discount is applied at checkout. Take the full amount of your book shown and multiply it by 45% to see if the discount is the CostCo one instead of MP. The MP discount should not over-ride the CostCo discount. You have to go as far as placing your order to get the discount. Mine has always been applied and then I get a final amount before uploading the book. If you have a box to click for the MP discount, leave it blank.

The last few books I have ordered did not show the discount being from CostCo but when I checked for the 45%, I realized it was. In ver 2.2, the discount did show it was from CostCo but in 2.3 it does not. You do not have to place your order until after the discount appears.

Thanks for your reply. This is the second question I've posted here and you've answered both times!

I tried going all the way to checkout and it is still only reflecting the 40% discount from the current mypublisher promo. Here is a screenshot of final checkout before uploading:

I calculate that the 40% mp discount is 101.64*.4 = $40.65 (which is what the checkout says), but the Costco discount should be 101.64*.45 = $45.73. So it seems that the Costco discount isn't applying. Since I downloaded directly from the Costco site, I'm not sure what else to try. I haven't gotten a response from customer service yet...

That is really strange...I've never had a problem getting the CostCo discount. Let us know what Customer Service says.

Just today I read that MP had corrected some problems. So, I went into my Control Panel and removed the program. I downloaded the updated software from CostCo and reinstalled it. The book I was working on was still there. I'm not ready to order yet so can't check to see if that works but I can't figure out any other way to get the discount.

I removed bookmaker completely from the control panel too after my first reinstall didn't work. That didn't fix it. It does seem like they did some updates because bookmaker is going MUCH faster for me than it was. I wonder if they forgot to update the Costco version's pricing? I'll post if I get an answer.

As a test, I imported a book that I had printed already. I took it as far as the discount page and I got the 45% Costco Discount. I copied this from the page. Maybe you will need to uninstall your software and reinstall it like I did earlier today. It completely bypassed the MP offer and went straight to the Costco discount although it didn't call it a Costco discount. It just listed it as "promotion".

Well I got it to work. Here are the various steps I took.

I downloaded the Costco bookmaker and installed it over the version on my computer--this didn't work.

I uninstalled bookmaker from the control panel and reinstalled from the new download--this didn't work.

I uninstalled bookmaker from the control panel again, restarted the computer, and then re-downloaded bookmaker from the Costco website and installed it. When I opened bookmaker, my book wasn't saved and I had to import my file, but when I went to purchase, the correct discount showed.

I don't know why the previous installations didn't work, but I guess maybe restarting deleted some remaining file?? I was a little worried when my book didn't automatically open, but the import worked fine (glad I thought to export before trying all this).

So I ordered and I guess my problem is solved! And I still haven't heard back from CS.
