Template - size, safety margins, and bleed?

Hello,

Did a little searching but I?m not finding exactly what I need. I want to make a template in Photoshop or Indesign for a pocketbook (7.75 x 5.75). What is the actual size that I should make this? And where should the bleed lines and safety margins be set. Has anyone done this and had success?

That helps a lot. I tried these dimensions and they seem to work fine. You mentioned: ?Don't put anything important too close to the center.? Do you mean the center of the page or book?
