So I read that there are no full bleed layouts cannot have captions, but they appear to be available. At least caption boxes show up on my full bleed pages... Can I use them?

I have used the captions on a full bleed photo but it does have its limitations. If you have a picture that is too dark and the caption prints in black, you can't see it. If you are using the books that have page color options, try changing your background color and you might be able to print in white. For example: choose black as your background color and when you print on your full bleed photo, it will be white. There are not too many options.

I do my text on full bleed photos in Photoshop so I can control where the text goes, the font, the color and the size.

I am using photoshop...2 page...one page spills over to the next and there is text on the white space with no pics. My current book option is the classic so I set my canvas size to 23.630 x 8.545...and resize my image using the transform option in PS.

So here are my questions, if anyone can please answer them:

1. What is the best option for text/picture combination since I will have to convert them to a jpeg -
Should I use the crisp, smooth, none, sharp (This is the anti-aliasing control) so that the text looks just as crisp as if I used the MP template for text and typed it in.

2. My intent was to take two copies of the single image that is now 23.630 x 8.545 at 300 dpi and put it into each side of the page and use the move command to adjust each side (the left side will be flush against the edge of the page and the right side I will adjust until the cutoff ends match.
I've looked at the forum and they recommended making sure that I leave approximately 1/2 from the binding and the 1/4 from the ends. Is that before or after putting it into the full bleed layout of the MP. In other words, if I put the image into the page, does the preview show a pseudo accurate view of what is cut off or do I have to shift it so there is the white space in the approximate 1/2 binding end and also 1/4 white space around the other three ends. If someone can share their album of what two full bleed images should look like in MP preview (and that it's pretty close to what they actually got).

Sorry this is lengthy!

Faith...I was wondering the same thing....in another post (i'll provide the link) a girl posted the preview of what her book was ...just as normal people do on here. but she took it one step further and took pictures of what her book looked like when it came back in person. She had a number of panoramic (one picture that stretched across two pages) pages in her book and she took physical pictures of them so you can see what it would look printed for comparison to her online preview. She also tells you what she did so that way, you can make an educated guess on what your picture may turn out like. I'm so glad she did it......seems like it may help you too.
