I want to make a small book for my grandson's great grandparents. Has anyone purchased the paperback size and if so how many photos per page would you recommend? I have set one up and have 9 photos on one page but I am not sure if the photos will be to small to see. I am on limited time as I want to get it before Mother's Day. Also can you change book sizes once a book is done or do you have to start all over and build a whole new book?
Thank you in advance for your input.

I have a paperback book in front of me. The dimentions are 6" H and 7 & 3/4" wide with a 1/4" binding. I have one page per book and the pictures look great. I would suggest no more than 4 per page horizontal or two portrait vertical and those would be too small in my opinion. The book is quite small. Even in a Classic size book 9 pictures per page are almost too small.
I made a book for our grandson's parents and other grand parents and did the one page per book. The minimum is 20 pages so that made a nice size brag book. I put a text box on the first page. The MyPublisher logo prints on the inside of the back cover. Unline the Classic and Deluxe books, there is no vellum page at the beginning.
Here is a link to another book I did as an experiment: "The Butchart Gardens". What I would have done differently is not use the program's autoadjust and made my pictures darker in Photoshop.

Your last question about changing sizes...yes you can without reloading pictures. If you resize the book, make sure all pictures have the blue line around them.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Cruiser....I did go ahead and order the paperback size and figured if it doesn't look good, not alot of money was lost and it will give me an idea in the future of how a book that size will look.
I just bought the Scrapbook software...but MP is just so easy to use. Have you tried the software yet? You are much more versed with all these different formats than me, so I value your input.

I bought the Scrapbook Factory 4.0 software and have done a few layouts in it. To be honest with you I prefer the free Scrapbook Flair software that you can download from their site. They have dozens of free templates, backgrounds, wallpaper, quick pages, embellishments, and is much more user friendly. Their letter size template fits the full bleed pages perfectly with no cut off. You can save it as a SF project to open later then Export it to JPEG for posting in Bookmaker. It saves at 300 dpi which is higher than the 200 dpi maximum that Scrapbook Factory allows. The file size for a full bleed is between 1 mb and 3 mb depending on how many photos and elements you add. The software download has basic templates, wallpaper, etc.included, then you can download more. They will give you a free cd for each kit if you pay the postage. I find it easier just to download.
You can download the software and use it or download the individual items and use them in Photoshop, Power Point, Elements or any other good processing program. All you have to do is join the site, and start downloading. All of their pages and add ons are quality so you will have a beautiful page when finished. You can also change any templace simply by clicking on an element and deleting it or clicking on the text and changing it. You can do a lot of changes if you are so inclined.
I found that if I used Scrapbook Factory I had to go back into Photoshop to do some cropping because most of their templates are 12" x 12". If I brought a 12" x 12" into the software, the page will stretch to fit which makes the image look funny.

One thing I forgot is that you can bring the Scrapbook Flair papers, elements, alphabets or any others that you download from the internet into Scrapbook Factory.
I've used all of the books in MP but was looking for something different than the normal books and pages. I've made 15 Deluxe, 5 Classic and 2 paperback books so unless they come up with something more, I'll continue to use Just Photos and bring my own pages into the software. I'm expanding my horizons...
