book is gone!

My book has disappeared- I tried to recreate it, naming the new book "Brynn 1", but then get a pop up message stating that there is already a book with that name. The only problem is that I cannot find it anywhere. I have looked in my C drive but cannot locate it...help!

It's really difficult for the books to just disappear. You didn't see it from the drop down list when you did File > Open? It's possible the old book was corrupted if you had a power outage or the computer went to standby while BookMaker was open. I just recommend naming it something different if that causes a conflict.

I'm having this same problem in that my book has disappeared (not in drop down menu). My computer did expectantly shut down when I was in the middle of making it, so I guess the book could have been corrupted. Any way to recover the book? I see the files in application data. I also can't rename the book they same because it says that name has already been used. I had shared the book, is there any way to recover that way or order the one I shared?

Unfortuantely that is only a low resolution file. I'm afraid you may have to start again if the book file was corrupted. The application data for that book is also corrupt I fear.
