Am I just dumb, or are the text boxes really not resizable? Very, very frustrating.

Hi Lmgold -

The text boxes are not resizeable. We do that to ensure the balance on each page. However, if you don't fill the text box, its not like the box prints, so I'd think of them as maximum text boxes.

I understand that you want the finished product to look good, but the fact that the text boxes for captions are SO small is very limiting. I just did a 100th birthday book and wanted to make the type large for older readers with vision problems. At 14 points, I was able to get very few words into the allocated space.I have done other books with regular size type and ran into the same problem. I would REALLY appreciate having the text boxes for captions adjustable. Good information is more important to me than appearance. How about letting me make that decision inasmuch as I'm paying for the product?

I just helped a friend finish her book. If there would be an option to resize that would be wonderful. Too many times the text boxes were too small or not in the right place to compliment the pictures.

OK, I'll join in on this as well. I'd really like to be able to choose what size my text is. I'm trying to make personalised colours, numbers, alphabet etc books for my daughter, so I would like to be able, for example to write a big letter 'A' then just have pictures of things starting with 'a'.
Thanks for considering this :)

I totally agree. The text box sizes and placement are SO confining. It would be really great if the location of the pics AND text boxes could be adjusted...give the layouts as a guide, not a form. In contrast, if this is totally not do-able, would your company be able to print a "homemade" book using specified file types?

I dislike the MP text boxes. However, I do like to use some text in my books. I handle the situation by doing my text pages in photoshop and then after saving as a jpeg., I add the text page to my book. It works like a charm because I get exactly what I want as a font and as a size.

Emsbee, if you add the text after saving as a jpg does the type print better than if you add it as a layer in PS, flatten the image and then save it as a jpg?
