My book seems to have disappeared from the File, Open Book drop down menu. I have located the Applications file, MyPublisher, Bookmaker and have located the files for the images in the book I had made. However, I only find the individual images and not the formatted book. Is there a way to recover this book?

Also, does a book "in progress," time out, and get deleted? Started this book about six weeks ago.

Farmgirl --

This sounds *exactly* like the problem I reported about four threads before yours.

Normally, to view your saved books, you'd launch BookMaker and select File -> 'Open Book/Jacket...' Then, double click on the book you wish to open in the window that follows.

Did you create the book while logged in as a different user on the computer that you?re using? If so, you?ll need to log back as the original user to open your books as described above.

Furthermore ? did you delete or otherwise alter any of the ?Application Data? on your computer?s C\ drive. This is where BookMaker stores your books on your computer?s hard drive. If the MyPublisher folder was moved or altered, BookMaker will not be able to open your books.

mypublisher - Thanks for the suggestions, but NO I did not create the book while logged in as a different user, and NO I did not delete or alter any of the application data.

I can't help but notice that there are at least FOUR posters describing the same issue of crashing programs and lost books as I experienced.

Still hoping MyPublisher will be able to isolate and fix the problem. I am hesitant to invest my time in making another book in this program. Wish I had not updated to the new version 2.3.

I will discuss this issue with the devlopers - I hope to have some insight as to what is going on because prior to this weekend/last week we have not had any issues with books disappearing!
