View Full Version : Can't Purchase Book
I'm still having problems trying to purchase a book. I've looked at all the various forums and have tried everything--1) reinstalled flash, 2) set up Firefox as my default browser, 3) relogged in BookMaker, 4) opened up another book, then opened my book to publish, 5) deleted unused pictures, etc. Every time I click the purchase button I get the error message that "Connection to MyPublisher is temporarily unavailable." I'm using v. 2.3 and never had this trouble with the older version. Any help?!! Thanks.

Hi AC - I'm sorry you are experiencing these issues. I'm not sure what the problem could be. Could you possibly EXPORT your book and IMPORT it on another computer to upload from there for the time being?

I'm still having the same problem. I keep trying what others have done from the forum but so far nothing works. I don't have any problem when I upload using dial-up, (I've even purchased 2 small books that way) but my high speed is not recognized. I even took my laptop to Best Buy geeks, the first time the guy loaded in some other numbers and it went to the shopping cart, the next several times it would not recognize the connection. But for $150 they will come to my house and try to work out the problem.

This connection problem has affected some of our users, but many of them are able to contact our servers after a couple of tries.
For starters, it's crucial to allow BookMaker full access through your firewall.
Beyond that, it's important to exit BookMaker after seeing the Connection Required screen as the error message indicates; then, relaunch the app and try again. You can also try redlownloading BookMaker from our website -- no need to uninstall first -- just 'Save' and 'Run' the installer to replace your existing copy of BookMaker. And don't worry, a reinstallation won't harm your saved books.
If you're still having trouble, you may want to try exporting your book and uploading it from a computer on a different network.
