Has anyone else had issues with text pages and improper rendering when selected -- and know how to fix them?

I have a text page that behaves improperly, and I cannot resolve it. The problem is that in regular "view' mode, the text does not appear -- in either box. However, if I click either text box, mypublisher enlarges the page for editing, and the text appears. When I click Done, it resizes the box to normal and the text disappears -- all of it. It's as if there's nothing on the page. Perhaps most scary to me is that the text does NOT show up in Step 4, Preview. The page is just blank.

This leave me wondering: Even if the text is there, will it print properly if submitted like this? I tried reinstalling mypublisher...no go. Same problem.

In another example -- on another page -- the text appears OK in the view mode, but when I select the small text box for editing, the text in the large box -- which enlarges with the smaller one -- is completely garbled and illegible. I suspect this is also a rendering problem. They both look fine when downsizing to fit the page again.

A third problem applies to all text boxes: The horizontal font alignment in the box is problematic. It appears to be biased toward the upper limit of a particular line. It just doesn't have a good "feel" about it when creating text boxes. Almost as if I just don't trust it. The text controls used in this web app need some work, I think.

Thanks. If you need stats, the book is about 85 pages, largest size (15") and contains about 400-something pix. And by the way, while I'm thankful for a Mac-based version, this version is rough around the edges, and one must be patient (often frustratingly so) with it at times.

Oh -- my equipment. MacBook Pro, 3GB RAM, dual displays (laptop and Cinema). Only other app running concurrently: Safari
