Since the options for a text page are limited, has anyone tried using Photoshop to create a page of text, or a page with pictures and text? This could be done at 300 dpi as a full page photo. Would the text look a good as the text options in MyPublisher?

I'm wondering the same thing too. I have had success on setting photos at 300 dpi, placing text onto them and sending to Walgreen's online photo dept. The text came out perfect.

Yes , you can use Photoshop to do a page with pics and text anyway you want then save it as a jpeg and it will work and look perfect in the book

As others have said, this works quite well! But keep one thing in mind: When you make text part of a graphic file, the text will be shrunk (or expanded) along with the graphic, if you change the size of the graphic's display area. For this reason, text on different pages may come out looking slightly different in size. And if an image is expanded substantially, the text may start ot look blocky. So when you do this, it is important to standardize (as much as possible) the size and aspect ratio of your text/graphic layouts... along with the areas where they will be displayed. Doing full-page layouts will certainly make this easier!

And if I can add one more thing to Boston Dave's comment: Once you have added the text and are happy with it, select all of it and change the anti-aliasing drop down to "Sharp", especially with a serif styled font.

And don't forget, re-size your image before flattening it (or saving it as a JPG). Saving as a JPG should be the last thing you do in the workflow. The reason, as it pertains to text, is that when you re-size it before flattening, the text stays as text and will be legible at whatever size you finish it.
