I am creating my first book, and it seems there are not many font options, and few creative choices for backgrounds and layouts. I am trying to decide whether to use PowerPoint or PhotoShop to create my pages. I read through some thread messages that this seems common to do.

What is going to be the easiest and fastest - I want a scrapbook look with out all the major frills - I want tilted pictures, borders, colored background - or whole picture as a background... Can I just save my designed PP page as a jpg and upload it into MyPublisher? Will the quality be OK if I just choose one photo for each layout in MyPublisher and do the whole design in PowerPoint - do I have to do anything particular in PowerPoint to make this successful?

I use Photoshop to create a collage and then save a copy of my psd file as a jpg file that I import into my book as a one photo per page option. That way, I can use what ever font, color and layout that I choose without having to worry about a template. I do use the templates on some of the pages though.

Sorry I can't help you with the powerpoint files......I don't use the software much so I don't know the answer.....
