When we put words in the text blocks, the tops of the letters appear cut off.
Should we be worried that our book will print with truncated letters too?
We see the glitch in both in Make Book and Preview modes. Our book is a Classic Hardcover using the Modern theme, but we also see it in other styles. We are using Geosanslight font, but we've tried different sizes and fonts and they all seem to be cut off to some degree.
We're running on Leopard (10.5.2), Intel iMac 2.0GHz, Core 2 Duo.
Thanks!

Hello Ddell - it should not be an issue in the printed book. It may just be that the font size is right along the top of the text box. If you see it in your final product please let us know!
Sincerely,

Thanks! for your prompt reply.
It appears that more is cut off than would be caused by the edge of the text box.
We'll give a shot, but it is a little disconcerting to see it look this way. It really made me pause before purchasing the book! Maybe this could be fixed in a future version of Bookmaker (Mac)?

Hello,
What was the outcome of this problem? I am experiencing the same thing and do not want to risk defective text in the 4 books that I am about to order.

If it looks OK in preview it will be fine. If for some reason the text is cut off, customer service will be happy to take care of reprinting them for you.

I sent customer service this question - and they suggested adjusting my text so it didn't look cut off, which I did. I just received the finished book and no text was cut-off. However, it looks like there was room and it would have been OK where the text box started. I'd like to know if anyone orders a book where they think some of the top of the text was cut off and whether it turned out OK or not, because I having trouble in the vacation book with this.

We went ahead with our order even though some text was cut off, and we weren't disappointed. None of the text was cut off in the final product.
So, the problem is in the displaying, not in the printing.

HI,
I was experiencing text cut off along the bottom line in the text box but went ahead and ordered the book based on the above answer from My Publisher re cutoff along the top line. When the books were received, the last line of text was completely missing even it appeared to be OK at 9 point. There is something wrong with the software program with regard to the text boxes. The photos and lay-out of the book received are even better than on screen, but I hope that the text issue can be resolved before I am ready to submit another book.

You can also use the 'Share' feature to see how a potential text issues will translate into print. The 'Share' file goes through the same process on our side as a book uploaded for purchase. As such, it tells the truest tale of how the book will look in print, especially where text and page layout are concerned.
