Suddenly cannot export files to hard drive

I have been working on a book for several months (85 pages and 150 photos), but suddenly cannot export a .dime file to my hard drive so as to back up and share files. I get an "Bookmaker has encountered an internal error" message with no other information, whereupon I must force quit BM. Am running BM 2.1.0.599 (latest) and Leopard. I have previously been able to do this as I have swapped the files back and forth between two current Leopard machines. Need help please!

Do you get the same message over and over again? Can you export other files from BookMaker?

By any chance did anything happen like losing power, or shutting down BookMaker mid-book improperly?

Problem occurs again and again with this particular book. A previous book seems to export just fine. Have no idea what the origin is, as BM has otherwise operated pretty well. Tell me should I try a remove and re-install of BM? If so, how? What happens to my book file, and will it be lost? Pls advise.
