Two questions from novice bookmaker

I am working on making a book of my daughter's first year and have a couple of questions. First, when I upload the photos to the work space and then place them in the book, is there a way I can then remove them from thre work space so I know they were already installed? Or is there a way to mark them as "used" so that the work space isn't so cluttered? I will be placing about 300 pictures in this book, and it would be helpful if they would leave the workspace area once I've placed them in the book.

Second, I'm a little disappointed in the number of templates available. For example, on the ones with 4 pictures, there has to be a certain number of horizontal or vertical images per page. It is possible to turn a vertical into a horizontal (or vice versa) if it works better with a particular picture?

Once they are placed in the book, they are removed from the work space, as you state. The templates cannot be changed but soon we are added many more to the baby girl book style. Stay tuned!
