Hello Susan - I believe that is a mistake. 2.2 is not ready yet. I am sorry for the confusion but it is coming soon!!

I was so happy upon reading the new 2.2 in my email :( Not so happy when I started 2.1 after downloading...but 2.1 still works just fine for me ;)

I have the same annoying issue. I got an email that 2.2 for mac is ready, and downloaded it. Only to see that it is still 2.1
I was able though to actually finish a book in Leopard.
Before it crashed in Leopard.
It would be nice if mails and announcements would be checked before posting...
I guess that the new features are not for mac users either then as for now.

Just started switching over to a Mac, and in my opinion, when it coms to software and support, Mac users are treated like second class citizens.

This is a common issue for us Mac users so i would like to share with you new Mac users "get used to it" and just inJOY the amazing computers you have. It is better to help this company with compassionate feedback and not complaining about what they have not done for you lately. They have spent a lot of time (and cost in man hours) to provide us with 2.1 so have fun with it...
I appreciate the company and the fast service they provide... when 2.2 is out for us we will inJOY it even more... it is almost like complaining about why we don't have 3.0 yet either... even the other operating systems don't have 3.0 yet either... hehehe...
So get used to the fact that it is not as profitable for most software companies to spend the same time and money for the small market that Apple products hold... i simply love the fact that i own the BESTt operating system made and that i have Apple products and some third party software developed just for me (us)... sooo... thank you "MyPublisher" for 2.1...

PhiPhun, your answer is besides the point. It is not because we are mac users that we should get used to the lousy politics that some companies have.
I am not complaining about the application version, I am complaining about the fact that they send out emails announcing that there is new software, while there is nothing new going on.
I am a busy photographer, and I can spend my time better then to download software that when I open shows me that it is the same as the software I had before.
I do appreciate the company and the service as much as you do, but I do not agree that we should get used to the fact that as mac users, we are second class citizens...
And maybe software companies would make more money if they do provide a solution for mac users. It is hard to make money on mac users if you don't even provide software...
In fact, I got another email this week telling me that there was a software upgrade from my publisher, while guess what... indeed, same egg, no new software...

It's this attitude is why the Mac never took off like the PC. I have a MacBook and PC desktop, and it is the moronic comments like this that stops the Mac from gaining wide acceptance in the market place.

We are working on a new release for MAC that will be coming out very soon!
Let's not forget that the MyPublisher software is FREE!!!
So, we can't expect them to implement our every little request!
Software Developers aren't cheap (I know because I am one! :-)
But, I too found it confusing that they mention 2.2 in emails on the website, but then it tells you that your 2.1 is the latest version.
The Software is quite good, just wish they would re-implement that iPhoto plug in for iPhoto 8 - the plugin was GREAT and seems like it must have involved a lot less work to write than a new version of BookPublisher for a Mac.

I think my point is to not get upset about it... but some people just need to complain to feel heard... for example: photocat... we are first class computer users, we have the best operating system out there (in my opinion) but MyPublisher already addressed it and said they are working on it... it is simple business... do you know the ratio of Microsoft vs Apple operating systems? Some very smart companies do develop for Apple only... this is not one... but they are still appreciated... by some of us I think...
I agree about the eMails that keep coming about the PC versions... but that is another issue and maybe another thread, but I do feel like MyPublisher is doing a good job... my theory is that we can get better respect by just letting them know and then letting it go... I have this really kewl thing on my mail program... "delete"... kewl huh? and it does it in one click...
just trying to have phun... sorry it comes across as being a "moron"... hehehe...

...and brianric, you need to do a history lesson... maybe you have been brainwashed by Microsoft that Apple is an inferior product... you did get a MacBook for some reason, didn't you? I agree about comments by people affecting the marketplace... again, it might be easier on you if you did some history research... sorry you have to use a PC desktop but then you can use the newest version of MyPublisher... oh yeah, that's what this thread is about (back on track)... inJOY the new 2.3... I can hardly wait for the NEW MAC version...

Dear MyPublisher:
I have just received an email announcing your new 2.3 software....but under system requirements it appears this is still only applicable to PC software. I can see that a variety of users have expressed their frustrations, and I don't want to rag...mostly I'm curious when you project 2.2 will be available to Mac users? (I know you've already referenced that it will be available "soon"...I put my wedding album together in the 2.1 version for a gift to my parents, and I'm simply excited to utilize the new wedding templates for my own copy. I'm just curious how much longer the delay may take.)
I'm definitely excited for the release of 2.2. I feel like an artistic dessert is being continually dangled in front of my face and I'm told to continue waiting. My creative energy is salivating!
Thanks for your time and explanations, I appreciate it.

I don't need a wise *** remark from someone still in diapers. I've been using Windows since version 2.1. I'm having a horrible time with Vista, and no matter what I do I cannot get onto MyPublisher site from my Vista based PC. Bottom line is the market place is geared for Windows based computers, and the Mac user is treaded like third class citizen. Version 2.3 out for Windows, big deal. I'd be happy with 2.2 for Mac.
