I just wanted to leave a little feedback about my experience with MyPublisher. My parents, my sister and I vacationed in NC and Washington DC for Thanksgiving in 2007 so I decided a nice, memorable Christmas gift would be an album of the pictures I took while we were away.
First of all, when I registered I got a coupon good for 2 books = price of 1. That was wonderful and appreciated!
I'm a graphic designer and an amateur photographer (and pretty good in Photoshop) but I procrastinated enough that I didn't think I'd have time to go through all of my photos and then get the book in time for the holidays. I used my pocket camera (instead of lugging around my DSLR) during the entire trip so all I did was transfer the pictures to my computer. I decided on the order I wanted the book to be in (chronological), chose the pictures that I thought were the most meaningful, used the auto correct in BookMaker and Ta-Da! I was done!!
I knew that my parents and my sister would like the books... I did not expect the books, though, to be the highlight of the holidays! My mom has been carrying it around with her (yep, even now, almost a month later) and showing it to anyone who will take the time to look.
I know my family appreciated the sentiment of my gift and, because of the quality of the album, they'll be able to look back and remember our time together for years to come.
