Anyone use Picasa?

I am very new to this but have to make a book by the end of the month. Yikes! I do not have Photoshop. I manage my pictures using Picasa by Google. I tried to download Photoshop for a trial but I couldn't get it started and the trial expired. So I HAVE to use Picasa to fix my photos before they go into a book.

Does anyone use this? Any tips I should be aware of? Thanks

I do not use picasa but I do know of a fantastic site that will take this weight off your shoulders. If you need your photos fixed quickly and accurately while not having to pay an arm and a leg go to fixPHOTO.biz. This site is awesome. They helped me when I was in a jam. Hope it helps you out.

Hi Teddy, I have Picasa and Photoshop and I use Picasa just as much as Photoshop. I love it. Much more user friendly. Do you have any specific questions?

I have photoshop and i have problems with layering a photo on a background photo. Does picasa allow this? Is it more user friendly? i think you need to take a course in order to use photoshop!!! :-))

I agree, Photoshop is pain without a good book. Picasa doesn't do layers or anything fancy like that, just adjustments to color and lighting and cropping, you can also convert color photos to black/white very nicely. Everythings automatic but you can also used slider bars for more control over adjustments. I use it all the time.
