Hi all -
I have some night photos that look just fine on my computer. However I understand from other posts that they will not necessarily look right in my printed book so I must go into another program (iPhoto) and lighten them. My question is how much do I lighten them so they will look ok when printed? Should they look "too light," "abnormally light," or is there some sort of rule of thumb I should use? I welcome anyone's opinion on this subject, as this is the final step I need to do before printing my book. I definitely want the subjects (buildings, for the most part) to look visible and don't want them to ruin the book. Thanks so much!

Hi Calamari - generally the photos print the way they look on screen. Just keep in mind that the screen has a backlight. As long as the photos have good contrast, they should print well. If you have one posted somewhere that is viewable, I can take a look at it and give you my opinion based on experience here. Also - give the "auto-adjust" feature in the BookMaker client a shot and see what it does to the photo. We get great reviews from customers on that tool.

Sincerely,
MyPublisher
