View Full Version : Sharing my book

I was hoping the option to share my book would be different. I have a private family/genealogy website of over 100 people. I know they'd be blown away by the book if they were able to get a better look at it and probably numerous books would be ordered. But the shared book is so tiny - the text is unreadable (I had to use the smallest font possible to fit in the text box constraints) and the photos are very pixelated. I understand the need to protect your interests by not making the pages printable. But it would be way more impressive to potential customers if they could really see what the page looks like - I'd much prefer MyPublisher swathed a couple times across each page rather than the small webview.

I would also like an option to send an URL plus passwords to my family rather than enter the e-mail addresses of over 100 family members/potential customers.

Hi Treeclimber - thank you for your feedback. Did you try to use the zoom in option with the magnifying glass? We are in the process of improving it. Thank you for your feedback.
Sincerely,
MyPublisher

I used the zoom feature which means I can't see an entire page at a time so it doesn't really give you a good idea of what a page looks like (especially since the text/photos aren't as clear as the printed page is). I recieved my book today and overall I'm quite pleased with the quality! I just wish I can "show it off" with images of the pages via the web to family members across North America in a manner that does the quality of your books justice.

Hi Treeclimber - I understand what you are saying. Let me have our tech team take a look at BookStore to see if there is anything they can do to optimize it.
Sincerely,
MyPublisher

I design each of my 10"x8" wedding album pages in Photoshop CS2, but you could do it in PS elements, too. Then when I load them into MyPublisher I enlarge them slightly, but have a little white space around them.

Where I am going with this is that I can use the same 10"x8" images loaded into a slide show program to show friends, relatives, even the bride for proofing before sending the images to MyPublisher for book printing.

I use ProShow Gold to build the slide shows, but again there are other programs that will make slide shows. I add some "royalty free" music which I have the rights to use for slide shows and the slide show is complete.

You can look here:

to see some exact copies of some wedding albums I have done, set to music.
