I am getting the following error message with MyPublisher when I start it:

---------------------------
Microsoft Outlook
---------------------------
Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
I use Windows XP and do not use a local email client. I do have Outlook but it is not setup.

Unfortunately the error message shows up when I start the program but MyPublisher closes as soon as I close the error message. As a result, I can no longer get into the program.

I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting - all with the same result.

Any ideas to fix this?

Hi Gtvet - what's happening is the application is experiencing a crash and is closing. It tries to send a crash log via e-mail to us so we can diagnose the issues.

Give this a shot - redownload BookMaker from our website to ensure you are on the latest version (build 1971). We post bug fixes to that version. It will not erase any of your prior work. If that still does not reconcile the problem, contact customerservice@mypublisher.com and they can walk you through what to do with your BookMaker.

Sincerely,
MyPublisher

Thanks - I tried that again with no success. I installed the latest version and the same thing happens. When starting the program it still tries to send a message and results in the email client error. When I click "ok" it closes down the program.

Guess I will have to work through customer service.

Thanks anyhow.

I thought I was done with my photo book and I wanted to purchase the book, I got as far as credit card information and the response was "contact customer service, order failed."
I am new at publisher, and I recently left "creative memories" for their lack of customer service. Is it my computer? or did I do something wrong. I noticed that questions are answered here at the forum better than they are on email, so can someone help me? Thanks

Hi K & J,

I've gone back into our systems to check your book and the shopping cart and I see that you have 2 orders placed on 6/24 (after you posted) so I'm assuming your problem was solved. I also check your book just to make sure it looked perfect and I can tell you it looks beautiful. :o) It's status is that it's currently being printed on our presses so it's on its way!

Did you mean to place 2 orders or did one go through somehow by mistake when you got the error? Please let me know and I'll do what I can to fix it!

Sincerely,
MyPublisher
