Just wanted you that have ever had questions about how to scan your photos - I took pictures with a 3 pixel camera, scanned on an home Umax astra 3400 scanner, and then saved my pictures in Adobe Photoshop at 300 pixels/in and at both 4x6 and 5x7 and they turned out GREAT! The quality of the pictures in the book is great.
5 of the 8 books I ordered just arrived and even my old pictures from the 60's printed beautifully.

The only issue that I can see on the pages in every book is that I ordered the black pages in the background and at the top of some of the pictures, there is white paper NOT cropped off. It didn't happen to all the pages, os it's obviously a cutting issue. It is consistent in all the books I received today. It's almost like the cutter didn't cut straight because there's a different amount of white showing on each page (all less than 1/8"). I'll have to contact mypublisher about that as these are Christmas presents and there's not enough time to switch them out.

Mypublisher did ship these out incredibly fast and I appreciate that. It was shipped probably 24 hours after I uploaded it.

Whoa, that was my post above and the first part was really messed up - I can't even understand it.

The first paragraph should have read:

you just have to be sure when you scan the photo in...when highlighting the photo to be scanned in, you only choose the actual picture. I scanned in some photos from my old handmade scrapbook that had wavy edges, and I just cropped the pic without the wavy edge before scanning in the computer and it came out beautifully. Hope this helps.
