My books were shipped last Wednesday, and have been sitting at my local Fed Ex facility since Tuesday (which is 35 minutes away). They were estimated to be delivered on Tuesday, the 18th.
They haven't even attempted to be delivered yet. Now I have to leave tomorrow morning for the holidays and I have no books unless I go pick 3 of them up tonight (the 4th one is supposed to be delivered today, but it was also supposed to be delivered yesterday and never showed up even though it was "on the truck")
Fed Ex said there is absolutely no guarantee with this ground home delivery, so they don't care that my packages have been just sitting there for 3 days and won't arrive before the holidays.
I don't think My Publisher should say "2-6 days" for standard shipping when really there is no guarantee when the books will come. I would have upgraded shipping if I knew it would take 2 weeks to get the packages.
Now I have to spend $20 worth of gas on top of the $35 worth of useless shipping that I paid.
