Writing in the boxes next to picture

I have had no problems until today. Whenever I write out what I want to in the box next to the picture then when I want to center it or make it bold and choose which type of print, the box that comes up which usually has this information is no longer coming up. Does anyone have any idea why this is now happening after many days of working on it and that problem never arising until now?
