View Full Version : Problems in making book

I went ahead and placed an order to make the book. However, when I started the process, the first message I got was that some captions were too big. So I reviewed captions and saw no warning. Regarding pictures, it said some where red and would of low resolution. I had none of those either as I reviewed the book. I have been compiling this book for weeks and am very anxious that the program did not give me the "warning" signs for unsuitability.
Finally, because I am under time restraints, I was typing an obituary in the text page. Actually I did several and they worked. One, however, reversed pages every time making page 2 page 1 and vice versa. I typed it, retyped it, typed it in word, etc. etc. It reversed everytime. Frustrated, I simply typed it in word in a column format, scanned it, and placed it on a one page bleed. I'm disappointed that I had to do this because it detracts from the overall quality of the book and its presentation and consistency.

Hi Rayzelle -
I am sorry you experienced difficulties while making your book. The best place to see if images are low resolution is when you click on Enhance Photo and page through that way. There is a big thick red box that is around the image if it is low resolution.
I'm not sure why your pages kept switching. I've honestly never encountered that before.
I hope you are happy with your order when it arrives!
Sincerely,
MyPublisher

I am totally distressed. I am suppose to get what I SEE on the screen. As I discussed in my first problem, the text kept switching so I had to type it, scan it and then put it on a bleed page. THANK GOODNESS I DID THAT.
I received my book today and you obviously have NO QUALITY CONTROL. I used three text column templates in the vintage book. One green and two blacks. The green had black lettering, and that is how it printed. The black template showed white lettering. Instead I got LIGHT GREY paper with WHITE LETTERING. Anyone who even glanced at the book would see that the text is IMPOSSIBLE TO READ.
What are you going to do to rectify this situation and help me put the template I want in it that doesn't reverse. I selected the green and black two column templates, and not once but three or four times typed my text from Left to Right as it customary. Everytime it came out right to left.
With all of this said, the product is awsome and with these corrections made I will belighted beyond belief.
What I want is customer service to issue me a coupon for a new book. I will not use the black templates (only green) and hopefully you will have figured out why I have the reversal of columns. If you have not encountered the problem before, it did happen because I typed, retyped, tried different templates and nothing worked.
All my pictures and captions were perfect even though when I went to print it, a messages came up that there were problems in the captions and picture resolution. Such was not the cast at all. #M573972 is my number
