Would love to see more standard templates - while I love mypublisher, snapfish has a wider selection of more interesting templates.....not a competitor you want to have having something better than you I would imagine

Hi SueRobs - Thanks for your feedback! I recommend you check back on our website regularly as we are always coming out with new templates. In our last release, BookMaker 2.1 we actually added a few new layouts to our Bestseller book style, in addition to more decorated styles like Travel, Wedding, Baby Boy and Baby Girls. I can tell you there will be more to come in the upcoming months!

I have also noticed that Snapfish has more colors, etc to choose from. I haven't made a travel book with either yet but have been playing around with both of these. I have been told that Snapfish has poor quality paper and poor quality binding. I need to do a photo book for my granddaughter as we just took her to New York City for her age 10 trip with grandparents. I can't decide which one to use. The only problem with using My Publisher is that I don't have the photos she took. If I use Snapfish I can access her photos also. What do you all recommend?[/SIZE]

Hello JCMHunt,

In order to use MyPublisher, you'd need to have access to the photos in jpeg format. Perhaps they can be burned for you onto a CD or saved onto a USB Thumb Drive. You may be able to also transfer them via the internet. We recommended the specifications below:

Deluxe Hardcover
15.08" wide by 11.58" inches high at 300dpi (4524 x 3474 pixels)

Classic Hardcover
11.08" wide by 8.58 " inches high at 300dpi (3324 x 2574 pixels)

Paperback PocketBooks
7.83 " wide by 5.83" inches high at 300dpi (2349 x 1749 pixels)

COLOR SETTINGS:
~ Use sRGB or RGB when enhancing photos – no CMYK.
~ Use sRGB or RGB for black and white photos – no Grayscale.
~ Remove any vectors, slices or layers from your images.
~ MyPublisher does not currently provide ICC profiles for our output devices
