I just made my fifth photo book with My Publisher and I am so happy with this book
again.

However, I have one question about the printed quality of photos in a 12 picture/page
layout (or same sizes of printed pictures equivalent to that layout) which are newly
introduced. I tried it, hence.

When I looked my fifth photo book (paper-printed), I realized that the bigger printed
pictures are, the sharpest images are. Interestingly, the printed picture in 12
picture/page layout are not as sharp as the pictures in 1 to 9 pictures/page layouts.
Actually, they are the least clear pictures.

My photos are mostly taken by a 6 mega-pixel camera, and never been edited by
softwares. They are directly transferred from the camera to the BookMaker 2.1.
I did not used any blurry images.

Is there anybody who experienced this?

I want to have printed pictures as clear as possible.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi - I'm sorry you are experiencing quality degradation in your smaller photo molds. My advice to you is the following: like any photo application, photos and images print best at their natural sizes. For example, if you take an 8x10 photo and shrink it down, it's not that it loses quality, it's just that the smaller size cannot hold the same level of detail that the larger size can hold, since there are not as many pixels available. Our presses are photo quality presses, and actually print at 175lpi (lines per inch), which is very detailed. The 12 photo layouts are best when you have lots of photos that you want to show, but I highly recommend the larger photo molds to get the best clarity in your photos.

I hope this information is helpful to you!

Sincerely,
MyPublisher
