Hi. Just recieved my first tax invoice approx 3 weeks after recieving the books.
Ohh what a downer. That nearly doubled the price of the book.

Mypublisher has an EU site as well as a UK site.
Can I get to order from within the EU instead so I wont have to pay tax?

Hi - you can actually order from any of our BookMaker sites. I recommend the US site. You will pay in USD but everything else will be the same.
Sincerely,
MyPublisher

Hi there,

I just ordered what is probably our 10th book from my publisher and have received an invoice for VAT for the first time. I was wondering if previously the books were sent from within the UK. And if so, why were they sent from the US this time. It appears it does matter where you order the books as I contacted customs and they said that anything ordered internationally to the value of £18 or more is subject to tax.

I emailed 4 days ago to see if we can choose where the books come from but am yet to receive a reply. I have been very happy with mypublisher to date and am about to order another 6 books but won't if it means paying tax again.

Many thanks,
Jackie
