I decided to make my parents an album of their wedding pictures for Christmas since their album fell apart. I had no pix on disk or negatives, only 4x6 pictures.
I scanned the pictures, did color correction and editing in Picasa, and put together the album in MP. I used MS Powerpoint to do a few special effects pages like collages and backgrounds. It took me about 2 months to scan, edit, and make an album of 70 or so pictures.
I placed the order last Thursday, on Thanksgiving nonetheless and I received my book today, 1 week and 1 day later. That was with the regular (not express shipping).
I had some problems placing the order - thanks to these forums I read that Firefox would work better the IE and ended up downloading Firefox. It worked like a charm.
I could not be happier with the book. I was very concerned that the pictures would look grainy and distorted since they were scanned from small pictures, but they came out so beautiful. I can't wait to give the book to my parents-I don't want to wait until Christmas! I'm so happy with the finished product.
