I just created my whole book using MAC Aperture software. I' pretty pleased with what I have done, but already know that I don't want to use Apple to print this as their paper is not thick enough for my liking. It sounds like My Publisher uses heavy thick paper, but can I use the layout I created in Aperture to print a book now with their services? Or do I need to create a new layout again using their software....
Thanks for your answer(s) in advance

I'm replying to my own message as I had written "My Publisher" as well and received this answer this morning:

The file upload we receive must be made in the Bookmaker for Mac software to enable the system to recognize the data encryption. Unfortunately, you will need to recreate the photo book if you want to upload it for processing.
The pdf file alone will not produce a photo book since it will not have the layout data needed for the book.

Does any of you (professional photographers) know where else I could print a great book with thick good quality pages? I will use My Publisher and their software for future print jobs, but I'm not sure why I'm having such trouble finding a great book printing place that can use a PDF of what I've created so far.
I cannot be the only one using Aperture?

Any help is much appreciated!

Could you not save as pdf.. export and open as psd or jpg in PS at 300 dpi and save then load into my publisher software?

I know it sounds trying... but adding the full page as a one page image in stead of reinventing the wheel might keep you from going back to square one.

What ever you decide.. good luck.

Hi Ree
Thanks for the response. THat's a good idea and I will try that. In the meantime I already layed out in MP, but still like what I did in Aperture better, so I'll see how the quality holds up etc.
THanks!
