Print Quality of Pocket versus Deluxe Hardcover

I finished my first wedding album and had a pocket book printed as a proof book. My plan is to order several copies of the book in the deluxe hardcover version.

I'm wondering if there's any difference to the picture quality between the versions. The pocket book is fine for the price, but the printing isn't as nice as I had hoped. There's a visible crosshatch/grid pattern visible on many of the prints. Some photos show it more than others.

Is this just the nature of the pocket book, or do all books look this way?

Hi Brian - I find that with high resolution images, the larger books print better. This is because the images have to be shrunk so much to accomodate the pocket book. That's just my experience. I hope this helps!
